W Brother Nicol John Murray
Dear Brethren,
It is my sad duty to inform you of the passing to the Grand Lodge above of Worshipful Brother & E. Companion Nicol John Murray, PPrGStB, on the 19th of April 2024 (75)
Nicol was initiated on the 3rd of April 1991 in Lodge of St Peter L6092, becoming Master in 2000. W.Bro Nicol was Lodge Tyler from 2009 – 2013.
Worshipful Brother Nicol was also a member of The Thistle and Rose Lodge of Bedfordshire L9351 from 1993 to 1999 as well as The Lodge of Tolerance (MetGL) L7998, sadly now erased. W. Bro Nicol first Bedfordshire appointment came in 2013 to PPrGStB.
Brother Nicol was Exalted into Dunstable Chapter C6092 on 11th of January 1995, First Assistant Sojourner in 2016 – 2018 and Joshua from 2019 – 2022.
Bro Nicol supported the Province of Bedfordshire for 33 years in Craft and 29 years in Royal Arch Chapter. Brother Nicol was also a Mark Master Mason in Biscot and Icknield Lodge M1406, and Royal Ark Mariner Chiltern LodgeRA1538 in the province of Northampton, Huntingdon, and Bedford.
I understand that W. Bro Nicol had been suffering with poor health for quite some time and was unable to attend meetings.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
