Dear Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I must inform you of the passing to the Grand Lodge above of Worshipful Brother Colin Charles Humphrys, PPrSGW, on the 7th of May 2024 (77)
Colin was initiated on the 8th of April 1989 in The Old Bedford Modernians Lodge L5268, becoming Master in 2001. W. Bro Colin was Lodge secretary from 2014 – 19 and 2021 – 22. In 2023 he was elected an Honorary member of the Lodge. Worshipful Brother Colin joined The Bedfordshire Lodge of Installed Masters L7301 in 2017.
Bro Colin’s first craft appointment came in 2006 as PPrJGD and then in 2012 to PPrGSuptWks, followed by PPrJGWin 2016 and finally in 2023 PPrSGW. W. Bro Colin supported the Province of Bedfordshire for 35 years.
Colin loved freemasonry and the friendships made, but, in recent times, due to ongoing health issues, found it increasingly difficult in attending meetings. He was a much loved member of the OBM’s Lodge and will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. Worshipful brother Colin passed peacefully with his family at his side.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Kath, his two Daughters and the rest of his family, at this sad time. I shall of course send a condolences card on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master and Brethren.
