Supporting Bedfordshire’s Young Autistic People
More than 150 young autistic people from across Bedfordshire will be given help to boost their confidence in key life-skills thanks to a Masonic Charitable Foundation grant from Bedfordshire Freemasons to the Autism Bedfordshire charity
The charity runs the Bedford based Transitions Group, which offers social activities, holiday programs, and workshops, aimed at reducing isolation and improving well-being for autistic adults by helping them with skills such as communication, building friendships, and finding employment.
Users of this service have been proven to benefit after accessing the Transitions program by feeling felt less isolated, more able to manage their anxiety and having improved self-esteem.
