40 Years in Chapter Celebrated at St Andrews & Ivel Open Evening
St Andrews Chapter recently invited Ivel Chapter members to join with them for their regular meeting which included the surprise presentation of a 40-year certificate to David Snape, recognising his tremendous service to Royal Arch Freemasonry.
The certificate, the first one to be presented under the hand of the Nicholas Edwards, the new MEGS of Bedfordshire, was presented by Martin Wilson and Barrie House, the Second & Third Provincial Grand Principals of the Province, respectively.
The meeting was followed by an open evening focusing on Royal Arch Chapter membership.
In a joint initiative, the Chapters had invited all Craft Masons to this special event, providing information about the importance of the Royal Arch Degree, which was presented by Martin and Barrie assisted by Chris Wells, Deputy Provincial DC.
The talk was followed by a buffet and open forum where potential candidates were able to discuss the Order with existing Companions and discover the benefits of becoming a member, which resulted in four Master Masons deciding to take this important step in their Masonic career.
