Michael Sawyer Lodge of Reunion – Raymond Holmwood 50 year Certificate.
The meeting of the Michael Sawyer Lodge of Reunion on Saturday 25th April proved to be a memorable occasion, as Ian Church, representing the Province of Bedfordshire, presented Raymond Holmwood with his 50th Anniversary Certificate.
Raymond was initiated into Southgate Lodge No. 1950 in 1974 and served as Worshipful Master in 1995. Over the years, his Masonic journey has also included membership of Watling Street Chapter and Lodge No. 1639 in Buckinghamshire. More recently, he became a joining member of Ampthill Lodge No. 2490 in 2023, followed by Ampthill Chapter in 2024.
In keeping with the admirable ethos of the Michael Sawyer Lodge of Reunion, Raymond is regularly supported in attending meetings, with members ensuring he is collected and accompanied—a not untypical example of the friendship within Freemasonry. .
The meeting was further enhanced by an informative and engaging talk delivered by Mark Watson on investigative forensic science within the police service, which was greatly appreciated by all present.
