A Special Installation at St John’s Lodge 8817

St John’s Lodge closed the season in memorable style with a very special Installation meeting, where Hugh Love, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master, had the honour of installing his son-in-law Mathew Cooper into the Chair of King Solomon.

The meeting was extremely well supported, with the Provincial Junior Grand Warden of Bedfordshire, Paul Talbot, attending representing the  Provincial Grand Master, Nicholas Edwards.

Along with an  impressive number of distinguished Brethren in attendance from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and from Bedfordshire, the Past Provincial Grand Master, the Past and present Deputy Provincial Grand Masters, both current Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, and no fewer than twelve Grand Officers, along with an array of Active Provincial Grand Officers.

The ceremony was carried out with warmth, dignity and clear personal pride, making it a particularly meaningful occasion for the family and for the Lodge.

St John’s has enjoyed a proud tradition of family connections over the years, including father-and-son initiations and installations, and this was another wonderful chapter in that story.

The evening was rounded off with a fun festive board, full of friendship, good humour, great food and celebration — a fitting way to mark both the Installation and the end of the season.

A very special evening for St John’s Lodge, and one that will be remembered for a long time to come.
