Bedfordshire Golfers Swelter in 90 Degree Heat

The Golf Section of the Bedfordshire Masonic Sports Association met at Whipsnade Golf Club on Thursday 22 July, on one of the hottest days of the year. Despite the heat, they all made it round and enjoyed a great day out.

The AGM followed the golf, and it was agreed to schedule 7 games a year from April to October. At each event there is a competition for a trophy, with a prize for the winner and runners up, also nearest the pin and nearest the pin in two.  All these were greeted well by the attending members and the winner and the runner up donated their prize winnings to the Captain’s charity.

There are 63 active players, and this year has seen 2 new members. If you fancy joining, please contact the secretary Paul Roberts at p.roberts19@btinternet.com.
