£1,000 for Bedfordshire Hospice

The brethren of St Andrew’s Lodge in Biggleswade hold St John’s Hospice at Moggerhanger very close to their hearts. Our dearly departed brother, Des, spent a short time there before passing to the Grand Lodge Above in February; and it has been the respite centre for Carol (wife of Norman, our Assistant DC and Lodge Mentor) for some time.

Following a plea from the St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger for urgent funds, due to the unique challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the brethren of St Andrew’s Lodge decided to help with a donation of £1,000.

The staff there are fabulous and provide much needed services in times of distress and suffering. We thought it only right to give something back in their hour of need.
