The MCF Help Fund Bedfordshire FACES

Over 50 Bedford based Mums & Dads who experience mental health issues can now receive art therapy thanks to a Masonic Charitable Foundation grant from Bedfordshire Freemasons to the Family and Children’s Early-Help charity (FACES).

FACES support families with ongoing difficulties, providing a range of projects that help them make changes which will ensure their children thrive, develop and meet their full potential.

Families receiving FACES support have often experienced traumatic events which research shows can have damaging effects in the long term and in some cases repeat themselves for future generations, particularly if therapy is not available.

Steve Joyce, Provincial Charity Steward, is pictured taking part in a clay therapy session, which is a method that allows individuals to share hidden feelings and emotions without talking, through the handling and moving of clay.
