Take off at the Airport Lodge(!)

The Airports Installation meeting took place on  26th November and proved to be a very successful and enjoyable event.

Captain Alan Taggart was installed as Master for the coming year, a moment witnessed Dean O’Connell, Assistant Provincial Grand Master for Bedfordshire and his escorting team.

The after proceedings was marked with good humour and the appearance of several pilots’ hats in recognition of Alan.

Attendance was strong, with around 65 people present, including approximately 50 guests. The atmosphere throughout the evening was warm and lively, with members and visitors alike contributing to the sense of occasion.

The Charity Raffle was extremely well supported and raised an impressive £785. In addition to this, Alms contributed a further £508, bringing the combined total to £1,293.

The generosity shown by everyone in attendance was greatly appreciated and will make a meaningful difference to the causes supported, being Keech Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and Dementia UK.

Alan was surprised and delighted by his wife Susan who presented him with a pair of masonic cufflinks to celebrate his installation!

Overall, the evening was a great success, marked by excellent company, good spirits, and with much fun!
