A Great Bedfordshire Welcome for Guy Smith!

Bedfordshire Freemasons were delighted to welcome Guy Smith and his support crew, Teri, to the Keep this morning following another stage of Guy’s incredible 400-mile journey in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Arriving at 9.30am, Guy rightly parked his bike in the designated space before being warmly greeted by the Provincial Grand Master, Nick Edwards, Deputy Provincial Grand Master Martin Wilson, and other members of the welcoming party.

Despite the trials, tribulations and injuries encountered along the route, Guy remained in great spirits, commenting that the support he has received throughout his journey has made all the difference.

Guy and Teri enjoyed a tour of the Keep, where he soon found himself in the Chair!

Guy was presented with a £1,000 donation towards his fundraising efforts for the Alzheimer’s Society. He expressed his sincere thanks to all Bedfordshire Freemasons for their generosity and support.

A special surprise for Guy was the opportunity to sign the Provincial Visitors’ Book, joining a distinguished list of visitors welcomed by the Province over the years.

After recovering his bicycle from the watchful care of Nick Edwards(!), Guy and Teri continued on their journey towards Hertfordshire before the final leg into London, where he will receive a further welcome at the Quarterly Communication meeting.

We wish Guy every success as he completes this remarkable challenge. 👏
