Biggleswade Ladies Luncheon Club
Thirty-nine ladies gathered at the Biggleswade Masonic Rooms to enjoy a delightful Spring Lunch hosted by the Luncheon Club. A excellent meal was enjoyed by all, followed by a captivating talk on the extraordinary life of Nancy Wake, famously known as “The White Mouse.”
The Luncheon Club meets eleven times a year at The St Andrew’s Rooms in Biggleswade and welcomes any lady with a Masonic affiliation—whether through a husband, partner, sibling, or other relative.
Founded in November 1997, the Club was originally created to offer widows of Freemasons a friendly and supportive place to stay connected, beyond the traditional Almoner’s call.
Lunches are held on the second Wednesday of each month, except in August, and are organised by a dedicated Committee made up of Club members. In addition to monthly luncheons, the Club hosts guest speakers, arranges outings, and runs various social activities throughout the year, many of which are open to guests as well.
Each month, a raffle is held during the lunch, with proceeds going to charitable causes and helping fund speakers and events.
New members are always welcome!
