Bedfordshire Masons on Tour

Bro Giorgio Ruggiero has sent in a ‘What I did during the Summer break’ report;

Myself and W Bro Sean Hinson have been out a few times in July and August. In July we went to Secklow Hundred L9569 (Buckinghamshire Masons) for 1st Degree Class of Instruction & Tracing Board explanation.

In August we went to the Cotswolds with our families and I got in touch with the Gloucestershire Masons via the find my lodge app. They responded and arranged for a couple of brethren to meet us. One of them was W Bro Mark Medland who is a registered tour guide for Gloucester City Council. He gave us an historical tour of the city and very kindly arranged for the Masonic Hall to be opened to to myself, Sean and our families. It was a truly stunning building and I’ve attached some pictures.

We also found a Masonic pub called the Carpenters Arms in Miserden – sadly the brother who ran the place couldn’t afford us the time to have a chat.

One thing that Mark Medland said is that if there was enough interest we could arrange a 2-3 day visit to Gloucester for Bedfordshire Masons and take in a meeting in Cheltenham (Thursdays) Gloucester (Fridays) and Bristol (Saturdays). Apparently the Bristol 1st degree ceremony is very unique and one not to be missed !!

Attached are a few pictures from the visits…
