3 Pillars Dunstable Feeding the Homeless Impresses During Bank Holiday Visit
Bank Holiday Monday, 4th May, saw 3 Pillars Dunstable welcome a number of distinguished visitors to observe the remarkable progress made since its launch earlier this year.
Among those in attendance were the Town Mayor of Dunstable, Sally Kimondo, Assistant Provincial Grand Master Steve Attwood, Deputy Lord Lieutenant Chris Sharwood Smith, and 3 Pillars Dunstable Chairman Simon Barter.

Guests were given a tour of the Dunstable Masonic Centre, where they witnessed first-hand the preparation of food and the ongoing development of the service vehicle used to support the homeless and vulnerable.
The initiative provides hot meals, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, and access to advice on healthcare and social services.

The visit continued at Ashton Square, where volunteers—including many local Freemasons—were seen in action serving the community, engaging with a warm smile and welcome, with those attending enjoying a hearty meal and friendly conversation.
Despite slightly lower numbers on the evening, volunteer enthusiasm remained strong, with new volunteers stepping forward and generous donations received, including food vouchers.
The team was also joined by 3 Pillars founder Ged Dempsey, who is supporting plans to expand the model into other areas.
The initiative received high praise from all visitors, who commended the dedication of the team and the positive impact already being made within the community.

3 Pillars Dunstable continues to stand as an excellent example of Freemasonry in action, with ambitions to grow its reach across Bedfordshire.
