Universities Walk – Day Three Across Bedfordshire
Day three began yesterday at the Keep in Kempston, and saw walkers from both Cumberland and John Bunyan lodges, plus representatives from Beda Widow’s Sons and the Farley Lodge of Women’s Freemasons set off for Gamlingay. After arriving there, the DKW cup was transferred to Cambridge and safely handed over to continue it’s journey around the country (picture below).
Huge congratulations to everyone involved – the Bedfordshire leg of the Universities Scheme walk has been very well supported and enjoyed by all those who have taken part or joined in the supporting events.
Simon Cole, whose blistered feet (unfortunately there are pictures) carried him all 56 miles, has so far raised a magnificent £660 towards the 2026 Festival via his JustGiving page – if you would like to add to this please click here.
