Uncle Ted’s 50 Fabulous Years in Freemasonry

Edward (Ted) Drayton, a Past Master of Farley Lodge No 7796 celebrated his 50th anniversary in Freemasonry this week at the Lodges regular meeting.

Ted, known as uncle Ted in Farley Lodge, was initiated in October 1974. During his long career he has enjoyed membership of Wimbledon Lodge, Bedfordshire First Grand Principals Chapter, Chiltern Mark, Ampthill Rose Croix and Farley Lodge. He was a Founding member of Duo Fraternitates Lodge and also Wardill Chapter.

He has received many honours from both Surrey and Bedfordshire Provinces over the years including his last in 2015 as Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden in Bedfordshire.

During the meeting Ian Church presented a 50-year anniversary certificate on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master. Ted recalled many fabulous memories from his Masonic career and received spontaneous applause from the members of the Lodge on being presented with his certificate.
