Remap – Making Lives Easier
The MCF’s friends at Remap got in touch with an update on how their funding has supported its beneficiaries… See some stories below!
Following a stroke, a man from Kent experienced very poor grip in his right hand and needed a modified handle for the right side of his four-wheeled walker. After receiving the necessary support, he is now able to steer the walker with both hands.
Parallel rails were made and assembled on a treadmill for a four-year-old girl in Hildenborough, meaning she can now be safely supported whilst exercising.
Essential bath steps were installed for a very small child in Broadstairs – they were constructed from wood with metal hinges and safety struts, and were painted to give the required water-proofing.
