Ivel Lodge Welcomes a New Master

Ivel Lodge was delighted to welcome Bedfordshire Assistant Provincial Grand Master Steve Attwood and his escort to its recent Installation Meeting, where Kevin Nicholls was installed as the Lodge’s new Worshipful Master.

In a what would subsequently prove a different ceremony, outgoing Master Kevin Edwards installed his successor, marking the beginning of Kevin Nicholls’ year in office. Steve Attwood warmly congratulated the new Master and wished him every success for the year ahead.

The ceremony also featured a refreshing twist on tradition, with Lodge officers taking on their individual appointments in a way that captured the attention of those present. This  approach perhaps reflected the spirit of modern and contemporary  Freemasonry while preserving the dignity of the occasion.

Following the meeting, the Brethren retired to enjoy refreshments, good company and a traditional festive board.
