Cumberland – What a Gathering!
There was much to applaud at the Installation meeting of Cumberland Lodge at the Luton Masonic Centre.
Assistant Grand Master Steven Varley , accompanied by a distinguished retinue of Grand Officers, together with Nick Edwards Provincial Grand Master and a strong contingent of Provincial Grand Officers, attended the meeting at which the Installation of Efraim Ie as Worshipful Master was very much the highlight.
Cumberland Lodge, a University Scheme Lodge, marked a particularly significant milestone as Efraim became the first student initiate from the University of Luton scheme to be installed as Worshipful Master.
The evening was one of masonic style and ceremony, featuring two impressive processions into the Temple and a high standard of ritual delivered by the members of Cumberland Lodge.
Proceedings were followed by an excellent four-course festive board, rounded off in fine tradition with a port toast.
