Challenge Clarified
Some brethren have asked for a little more information and clarification of Masons’ University Challenge.
The quiz will be run using the well known University Challenge format, with two opposing teams, but easier questions! The quiz is designed for teams of four masons representing their particular Lodge, Chapter or other masonic unit – and by all means enter two teams from your Lodge. It will be recorded on Zoom to be broadcast at a later stage on either a private Facebook Group, a private webpage or weblink.
The dates are the big unknown as it will depend on how many teams enter – there will need to be a draw as teams will play more than one heat – but we hope to start in a week or so. A reminder of the general rules etc. will be sent to all brethren taking part before the quiz starts. The only thing necessary now is four of your members who have Zoom and are up for a bit of fun!
Please email me your team name, which should include your Lodge and another word i.e. The Luton Leftovers or the Bedford Brilliants (if there were such Lodges as Luton or Bedford) and the names of your four team members, indicating which one is the Captain. Please copy these brethren in, so we have their email addresses.
In our neighbouring Province of Northants and Hunts, they are a few rounds into their quiz and it is proving to be the most popular topic on Facebook and Twitter.
Remember – it is only a bit of fun – but we all want to win!
