Ron Vaughan Celebrates 60 Years in Freemasonry at Old Cedarians

Old Cedarians Lodge recently celebrated a remarkable milestone as  Ron Vaughan marked 60 years in Freemasonry.

Ron was initiated into Old Cedarians on 10 September 1966 and, six decades later, was delighted to receive his 60-year certificate, presented by  Tony Henderson, Past Provincial Grand Master.

Ron is a familiar and highly respected figure across Bedfordshire Freemasonry and the Royal Arch. He served as Assistant Provincial Grand Master for Bedfordshire from 2007 to 2009, but his contribution to Freemasonry extends far beyond that role.

Indeed, Ron’s Masonic achievements are so numerous that attempting to list them all would require considerably more space than this article allows!

The presentation itself proved to be a fitting tribute. Conducted very much in the style of “This Is Your Life”, the evening provided an opportunity to reflect on Ron’s remarkable Masonic journey, the people he has met, the friendships he has made and the many contributions he has made along the way.

It was clear from the warmth of those gathered just how highly Ron is regarded.

The evening concluded with much applause and warm congratulations from everyone assembled to celebrate an outstanding achievement.

Sixty years of Freemasonry is a remarkable milestone — and one that deserves every bit of the celebration.
