An Abundance of Easter Eggs Donated and Delivered by Bedfordshire Brothers.
With Easter fast approaching there has been a lot of activity across the Province, donating, collecting and delivering Easter eggs to the hospitals in Bedford and Luton, as well as Keech Hospice.
Last week Brian Bates of Warden Lodge visited the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Keech Hospice to drop off 250 eggs donated by his connections through scouting and business, as well as the members of Warden Lodge No 4608.
This week the BEDA Bikers were on the road for their Easter ride out, unusually blessed with a beautiful sunny day, delivering eggs they had collected, along with a hefty donation on behalf of all Bedfordshire Freemasons. The bikers visited Bedford Hospital, as well as the Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Keech Hospice.
The staff and young people spending Easter at any of these establishments, for whatever reason, really appreciate receiving the eggs. Sarah Goodale, of the Bedfordshire Hospitals, remarked: “I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved for the generous delivery of Easter eggs. The Paediatric Team will be distributing them to patients over the Easter weekend. We’re hopeful that each child will enjoy a little cheer with an egg to take home’.
