Bedfordshire Freemasons at UGLE’s Quarterly Communications Meeting

The recent Quarterly Communications Meeting at United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) was, as is customary, well supported by Bedfordshire Freemasons.

On this occasion, the Provincial Grand Master for Bedfordshire, Nick Edwards, was not only pleased to enjoy the company of his executive but also that of other Bedfordshire Freemasons.

The ceremonial of a Quarterly Communications Meeting is steeped in the traditions and courtesies that so epitomise Freemasonry, and undoubtedly takes some planning.

The occasion also provides an opportunity to welcome representatives and distinguished visitors from Provinces and Masonic jurisdictions across the globe.

For those unable to attend in person, the latest First Rising newsletter, emailed by UGLE to all Bedfordshire Freemasons, provides links relating to two particularly notable presentations from the meeting.

The first is the address delivered by Jonathan Spence, Pro Grand Master, while the second is an equally thought-provoking presentation on Contemporary Freemasonry delivered by Elliot Chevan and Shaun Butler.

Both are well worth watching and provide plenty of food for thought — and, perhaps more importantly, some useful preparation!
