A dozen Lovells Bury Lodge members, good brothers and true, were delighted to be joined by the Provincial Grand Orator, WBro Garry Smith (bottom right hand corner) at their regular on-line get-together this evening.
All feeling slightly starved of freemasonry, we listened with great enthusiasm to a most wonderful talk about aspects of the 1st Degree Ceremony written by Revd Neville Barker Cryer Past Grand Chaplain. It was absolutely fascinating and everyone learned lots of new things, much of it from the earliest origins of the ceremonies dating back to the Middle Ages.
WBro Garry not only read the talk but had also done much background research, enabling him to answer our questions with enlightening answers. The brethren thanked him, most warmly.
You, too, can invite the Provincial Grand Orator to your on-line gatherings. You will not regret it.
