Bedfordshire First Principals’ Host MAGPAS

Friday 27th June saw  Bedfordshire First Principals’ Chapter host a talk from Emma Sanders from MAGPAS – “Mid Anglia General Practitioner Accident Service”.

Emma delivered an excellent review of MAGPAS from inception by two Doctors in the early 1970’s to the present day, and was afterwards congratulated by the Principles of the Chapter and the Grand Superintendent for Bedfordshire, Nicholas Edwards.

It is quite an amazing operation funded by grants and donations that provides not just critical air ambulance and emergency vehicle support but also high quality and tailored training for those at the front line.

This training is not just provided for our area but in support around the country and for armed forces personnel.

All those attending were struck by the tremendous commitment being made on our behalf of our communities by MAGPAS.

The Province has recently provided support in a grant of £10,000 which was matched with MCF Funding of £10,000, that article can be found here.
