Worshipful Brother Bernard John Raikes

Dear Brethren,

It is with sadness that I inform you of the sad passing to the Grand Lodge above Worshipful Brother and Comp. Bernard John Raikes on 14th of July 2025 (76).

Bernard was Initiated on the 17th of November 2007 in Panmure Lodge L715, installed as Master in 2016 and subsequently elected Treasurer.

Bernard was Exalted in Panmure Chapter C715 on the 3rd of December 2010, resigned in 2020.

Despite living with Prostate Cancer and treatment for several years Bernard still managed to attend some meetings.

Sadly, his health declined and was admitted to Keech Hospice where he passed away peacefully with his family at his side.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Elaine and the family at this very sad time. I will be sending a card of condolences to the family on behalf of yourself and the province.
