W Bro Donald William Powrie
Dear Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I must inform you of the passing of our Brother, Companion, and dear friend to the Grand lodge above of Worshipful Brother & E. Comp Donald William Powrie at home with his family around him on Wednesday 3rd of January 2024 (90)
Worshipful Brother Don very bravely fought cancer for some time but sadly lost his fight with great dignity. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him and a huge loss to Freemasonry, particularly in Bedfordshire.
He dedicated 57 years to the craft and 32 years in Royal Arch Chapter.
Don was initiated on the 7th of May 1966 into Seven Stars Lodge L6417 in the Province of West Kent and during his long masonic career held most of the key offices in all orders, and I believe it is only right and important we remind ourselves just how much time our dear friend devoted to the Province and Freemasonry in general.
