The 100 Mile Mason Hits the Road
Over recent weeks, Richard Reynolds, current Master of Mercury Lodge No 7289, has been ramping up training in preparation for running 110 miles in 40 hours, raising funds for the Bedfordshire 2026 MCF Festival.
In 2023, Richard set a very high bar by running the John Bunyan Trail around Bedfordshire, a distance of over 80 miles, in 27 hours. Not being the type to rest on his laurels, he now come up with a bigger challenge to test himself even further.
At 4:00 PM, on Wednesday 11th September, after Quarterly Communications, the 100 Mile Mason will start his journey from the home of Freemasonry in Great Queen Street, through Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, via eight masonic centres before arriving at The Keep, Bedfordshire’s Headquarters, at around 7am on Friday 13th Sept
I am sure you would like to support this amazing effort, and there are a number of ways you can get involved.
