Great Grub at the Gables
The Gables Hall, Leighton Buzzard – being geographically close to the conjunction of three counties – hosts 9 Craft Lodges from 3 different Provinces, (together with a similar number of Chapters or Units from other Orders).
The Hall’s Management Committee felt that the Summer of ’22 was an opportune moment to host a Sunday Lunch to provide an opportunity for “Gables Masons”, of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire – and their families – to enjoy each others company following the post-pandemic return to “Business as Usual”,
A very successful “Meat and Greet” Lunch followed on the 17th July with the dining hall pushed towards its capacity limits and £600 raised towards the Hall’s running costs. W. Bro. David Cato, Chairman of the Gables Hall Management Committee, commented that it was wonderful to see such support for the Hall after the challenges of the last two years and thanked W. Bro’s Brian Meager (Berkhamsted 504) and John Riddy (Old Dunstablians 5974) for organising the event.
