Changes to the Bedfordshire Provincial Executive
The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Anthony Henderson, has announced that he will be making some changes to the Provincial Executive, which will take effect from the date of our next Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting on 18th October 2022;
After three years in post as Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Nicholas Keith Edwards will step down. As “DPGM” Nick brought his own special propensity and luminescence to that role, and I want to place on record my sincere thanks to him for that breath of fresh air he introduced, and for the help and support he gave me during his tenure as Deputy and prior to that, in the other roles he has undertaken.
To succeed him in that position, I am very pleased to announce that I will be appointing W Bro Clive Walsh (Elstow Lodge No 8759). Clive, as you will all recognise, is our current Provincial Grand Secretary, and he has done an outstanding job in that role. I am looking forward to the energy and enthusiasm he will bring to the role of Deputy Provincial Grand Master, with which he will be invested at our PGL meeting on the 18th October.
I have asked W Bro Hugh Love (St John’s Lodge No 8817) to continue in office as Assistant Provincial Grand Master. Hugh’s presence on the Provincial Executive continues the pragmatism and sense of Masonic history & tradition tempered with modern reality, that he first brought to our Executive Management team in his previous role as Provincial Treasurer.
I have asked W Bro Anthony Green (Manor Court Lodge No 9096), currently our Provincial Grand Almoner, to accept a new appointment as Provincial Grand Secretary, which he has agreed to, and will take up on 18th October.
To complete the Senior Team, it is with great pleasure that I can announce that on 18th October, I will be appointing and investing W Bro David Hargreaves (St Johns Lodge No 8817) as Provincial Senior Grand Warden; and W Bro Roger Chappell (Farley Lodge No 7796) as Provincial Junior Grand Warden.
I’m sure you will all want to join with me to congratulate all of our senior team on their appointments, and to wish them well in their roles.
Yours Sincerely and Fraternally,
Provincial Grand Master
