Beda Bikers Bring the Easter Eggs

Thanks to the generosity of the Bedfordshire Freemasons Charity Fund, we have once more been able to deliver a substantial quantity of Easter Eggs to our two Hospital Paediatric Departments at Bedford and Luton – just before the holiday.

Provincial Grand Charity Steward Steve Joyce and members of the Beda Chapter of the Widows Sons delivered the Easter treats, which were timed to arrive alongside a scheduled delivery of TLC Teddies. The weather was once again unkind but it failed to dampen the enthusiasm of all concerned.

As always the visit is appreciated by the patients and staff;

Hello Steve,

Please accept a big Thank You from Bedford Hospitals’ Paediatric Department, for the wonderful  selection of Easter Eggs. Please will you also pass on our thanks to everyone at the Grand Lodge Bedford, for the donations of Teddies and chocolates over the years.

But could  you please pass on a special Thank YOU, to the Masonic Bikers for delivering the Easter Eggs to A&E today. The Teddies and chocolate really do make a difference, especially when the little children come to A&E and feeling poorly and scared, teddies and chocolate do help our little patients to feel better☺

It was really lovely to see  you all again and great fun, It was a shame the weather was not kinder to you though. Hopefully you had a good journey to Luton and a safe journey home.

We wish you all a Happy Easter.

Best wishes

Sarah Goodale
