
Almoner Workshop at The Keep a Great Success
The recent June “Almoner Workshop ” at The Keep, led by Provincial Grand Almoner Mike Fitz-Gerald, was a resounding success.

The event brought together new and experienced almoners from across the Province for a day focused on enhancing their vital role.
Mike opened with a talk on the role of the lodge almoner as a compassionate link between the lodge and those in need—emphasising that “it’s okay not to be okay.”
Emma Rider from the Masonic Charitable Foundation spoke on the wide-ranging support available to Freemasons and their families, see the detailed report.
Sarah Russell, CEO of the Tibbs Dementia Foundation, shared insights on supporting those affected by dementia, also see the detailed report.
Gary Bloxham also gave an engaging talk on the Michael Sawyer Lodge of Reunion, aimed at reconnecting brethren in a relaxed setting, again see the detailed report.
The event highlighted the growing importance of the Almoner’s role, and plans are already underway for the next workshop.
