A “Splendid” Installation at the Earl of Courtown Lodge

The Installation meeting on Tuesday. 16th September was certainly a splendid evening, with Steve Attwood Assistant Provincial Grand Master in attendance, escorted by Brian Cox for whom this was his last escort duty.

Simon Barter was installed as Worshipful Master, setting the tone for a lively and “engaging” evening. The ritual work was exceptional, with particularly impressive contributions from the light blue brethren, highlighting the Lodge’s strong future.

🎶 Musical accompaniment was provided by Graham Chapman, visiting from Essex, whose witty and well-chosen tunes added a great backdrop to the proceedings.

With around 70 attendees, the meeting drew visitors from across Bedfordshire and beyond, reflecting the Lodge’s growing reputation and appeal.

In his response to his toast, Steve Attwood emphasized the value of community engagement and encouraged members to volunteer as stewards for the upcoming Starlight Hike on 11th October—a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community.

The enthusiasm of the Lodge and members shows that it certainly is on the right track and moving forward with great emphasis on the younger members who worked so hard to  make the evening a great success, and one to visit on a future occasion.
