A Full Day of Freemasonry for Bedfordshire Brethren, both Craft and Mark!

It was a busy and enjoyable day for many Bedfordshire Freemasons on Saturday, 15th November. The morning began at The Keep with a meeting of the Camestone–Inglefield Lodge of Mark Master Masons, followed by an equally lively and “fun-filled” Installation meeting at the John Bunyan Lodge in the afternoon.

Both gatherings were strengthened by the welcome presence of visiting brethren from Yorkshire West Riding, who came in support of David Bulmer—a Yorkshire West Riding Mason, a member of Camestone–Inglefield, and who was due to be installed that afternoon as Master of John Bunyan.

The highlight of the morning’s Mark meeting was not just the reception afforded to the delegation from Chiltern Lodge of Mark Master Masons bearing the Travelling Keystone,  but also  an excellent and engaging Explanation of the Tracing Board, delivered by Ian Henderson, much appreciated by all present.

After the meeting, the brethren retired for a light buffet in preparation for the afternoon’s events.

The John Bunyan Installation meeting was honoured by the attendance of Martin Wilson, Deputy Provincial Grand Master for Bedfordshire, accompanied by Ben Fitzpatrick and Simon Turner.

The Installing Master, Jeffrey Boote, conducted the ceremony with the perfect balance of dignity and good humour, and David Bulmer was warmly installed as Master to “enthusiastic acclaim”, especially from his Yorkshire West Riding supporters!

The day concluded with a thoroughly enjoyable Festive Board, filled with good food, fun, and the genuine friendship that binds our Provinces together.

John Bunyan Lodge looks extremely well placed for a bright and successful future!
