John Bunyan Lodge Supporting SOS
‘You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you’ – John Bunyan
At a recent John Bunyan Ladies Night members, guests and their wives raised £1168.00 through a raffle in support of SOS Saturday Outreach Service in Bedford.
The Lodge Master David Bulmer, Julie his wife along with members Vic Iiannantuono, Ian Cording and Jane Roberts, a John Bunyan ‘lady’ presented the cheque to SOS Founder Beverley Everitt and her son Brandon.
The £1,168.00 was achieved by the generous prize donations of lodge members, local companies and business owners, pulling together in support of SOS and its great volunteers.
SOS provides free hot food, drinks, clothing and essential supplies to homeless and vulnerable people every Wednesday and Saturday evening in Bedford 52 weeks of the year, supporting between 80 and 100 people at each session.

The De Parys Avenue location of SOS service lies just 85 metres from John Bunyan’s statue on St Peters Green.
Another great example of Bedfordshire Freemasons working together with others in supporting their local community.
