A “50” not out at Panmure and a Third Degree

At the Panmure Lodge no. 715  meeting held on Saturday 17 May not only was David Petrie raised  to the degree of a Master Mason, but Michael Uwins was presented with his 50 Year Membership Certificate.

Those present witnessed some  excellent work by the the Master of the Lodge Steve Wigg and his officers in the raising ceremony of David to the degree of a Master Mason.

Although Michael has achieved many honours in London, Hertfordshire and Nottinghamshire, Panmure is his Mother Lodge and as such he was presented with his 50 years Membership Certificate in Bedfordshire in a memorable and personable way by the Assistant Provincial Grand Master of Bedfordshire, Steve Attwood.

It was a a most special day both for Michael and David and also the Lodge, so much so that Michael said, with a wry smile, that he was looking forward with great hope and enthusiasm to his next fifty years in Bedfordshire!

There were present among the visitors some six from Nottinghamshire and two from Hertfordshire to witness this most special meeting.

A meeting to remember both for the Lodge and Province.
