Community Engagement Grows at the Wingfield Breakfast Club
The Community Engagement Team, represented by Rob Venn and Steve Williams, were in Ampthill on Saturday 30th May to see another wonderful example of Bedfordshire Freemasons working with the community.
Bedfordshire Freemasons, in conjunction with the Wingfield Club, were hosting the latest Breakfast Club for the Veterans and Serving Armed Forces & Emergency Services (VBL), where serving and former members are able to drop in and enjoy a hearty breakfast, a cuppa, and a relaxing chat with old friends and new.

A good number of freemasons, led by Ben Keenan and Nick Carney, ensured a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, supported by the newly-elected Mayor of Ampthill, Councillor Gary Summerfield and his wife Sue, the Lady Mayoress – who was one of several ladies busy cooking and serving the delicious breakfasts.

Also supporting the event was John Philips of Op NOVA, part of the Forces Employment Charity and commissioned by NHS England to provide support for veterans who are in contact with the justice system, enabling them to access the services they need.
There were approximately 30 attendees at this hugely enjoyable, successful and worthy event.
Further VBL Breakfast Clubs have been arranged for 20th June, 18th July, 15th August and 19th September, from 9:30am to 11:00am.
If you are free on any of those mornings, please consider going along to help out, as Bedfordshire Freemasonry plays its part in supporting those who support us all and our communities.
