Old Dunstablian’s Lodge no. 5794 – Installation and a Silver

An installation ceremony at any “School Lodge” often attracts visitors from far and wide, and Old Dunstablian’s was certainly no exception, with representation from School Lodges in  Staffordshire and as far as field as Yorkshire West Riding.

The meeting, held in the most special lodge room at the Gables, Leighton Buzzard, and with the sun shining (!),  allowed those present  to enjoy a most successful installation of Spencer Wisdom as Worshipful Master of the Lodge in the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master of Bedfordshire, Dean O’Connell, and his escort.

Contributions to  the ceremony were from the representatives of Old Lutonians’, Chiltern and Old Cedarians Lodges.

The lodge also confirmed, much to the pleasure of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, they had received an application for membership, via the Provincial Membership team, which arose as a direct result of the Province’s positive Facebook and Social Media campaign to increase awareness of Bedfordshire Freemasonry.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master announced that the lodge had achieved Silver Award status as a result of the members contributions towards the Bedfordshire 2026 Festival and had great pleasure in presenting the Silver Badge to the Lodge, and encouraging them to even higher goals!

To round the evening off the lodge was able to congratulate John Marks on the 50th anniversary of his initiation into Freemasonry!
