Funeral Notice for Mr Ronald Leslie Robinson

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing to the Grand Lodge above Worshipful Brother and E Comp. Ronald Leslie Robinson PPrSGW on 25th of April 2025 aged 92.

Ronald (Ron) was initiated on the 24th of November 1973 in Mercury Lodge L7289, he served as Master in 1987-88 and once again in 2000-01.

He served the Lodge as Chaplain in the period  2003-06 and again  in the period 2010-2015, and was elected an Honorary member in 2015.

In 1978 Ron was a founder member of St Johns Lodge L8817  where he served as Master in 1984-85, then as Chaplain in the years 2001-03, 2006-07 and lastly from 2015-17. In 2019 Ron was elected as an Honorary member.

On the 17th of November 1978 Ron was Exalted into Mercury Chapter C7289, he served as MEZ in 1988, and was  elected an Honorary member in 2024.

Ron joined Bedfordshire First Principals C7301 in 1992, and a was founder member of Wardill Chapter C9432, he was served as MEZ in 1996-97. Sadly, Wardill Chapter was erased in 2013.

His first Provincial Craft appointment was in 1991 to PPrGPurs.  Ron then received promotions in 1994 to PPrGSwdB, in 2000 to PPrJGW and lastly in 2005 to ProvSGW.

In 2004  Ron received a Provincial Grand Chapter promotion to PPrGSN.

Worshipful Brother Ron served the Province for 51 years in craft and Royal Arch Chapter for 49 years.  He was a highly respected Freemason and Companion and exceptionally supportive of all the craft and chapter units of which he was a member.

I also believe Ron was a member of Invicta Rose Croix chapter No.10.London.

W Bro Ron had recently moved to a care home in Nantwich, Cheshire, to be near to his daughter. He was subsequently admitted to hospital for treatment and sadly passed away, peacefully, with his family at his side.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time. I shall send a condolences card on behalf of you, all Brethren and the Province.

 Requiescat in pace

Yours sincerely and fraternally

Mike Fitz-Gerald – Provincial Grand Almoner
