W Brother Gary Briscombe
Dear Brethren,
It is with sadness that I must inform you of another passing to the Grand lodge above, Worshipful Brother Gary Briscombe on 31st of December 2023 (66)
Gary was initiated on the 29th of April 2000 into Roger de Somery Lodge L6488 and installed as Master in 2007. Subsequently he was Director of Ceremonies in 2012 and 2016.
On the 7th of December 2013 Gary was exalted into Panmure Chapter C715, resigning in 2014.
Bro Gary’s first Provincial appointment to PPrJGD came in 2012, and then in 2019, PPrGSuptWks.
Sadly, W. Bro Gary became ill and found it difficult to attend lodge meetings. Gary bravely fought prostate cancer, but sadly lost his courageous fight whilst at home with his family around him.
I shall be sending W. Bro Gary’s wife Helen and his son W. Bro Chris a condolence card on behalf of you, the Executive and Brethren.
