There’s Lots to Celebrate at Gilbert Inglefield 8009

The Installation of a new Master is always a great moment, but there really was something special going on at the Gilbert Inglefield Lodge meeting last week.

During an emotionally charged evening, John Owen was installed as Master of the Lodge by Roly Hockenhull, in what was described by the visiting Provincial Executive Officer, Dean O’Connell, as a master class. Nobody could argue with that! The formal part of the evening was absolutly excellent.

This was followed by a fun-filled celebratory meal, where new Master, John, highlighted his charitable ambitions for the year and the personal matters that influence his choices.

John also gave credit to the Lodge Team who, under Roly’s guidance and with a bit of his own enthusiasm, have fully embraced the Members Pathway, and grown the Lodge membership from below 20 in 2023 to over 30 in early 2025.

Clearly, there are lessons for us all to learn from Gilbert Inglefield 8009!
