Second Caravan & Motorhome Get Together

The second caravan and motorhome get together was held over the weekend of Friday 11 to Sunday 13 August at Kimbolton Castle in Cambridgeshire.

Four units were able to attend and a good time was had by all.

Friday evening started with a gentle stroll down to Kimbolton High Street to buy fish and chips, then it was back the units to consume them. Before retiring  everyone enjoyed  a get together and chat under the new Provincial Gazebo with ample liquid refreshment.

Saturday was a day for exploring,  with some going off to nearby National Trust properties while others enjoyed a stroll around the town or just a leisurely walk round the vast grounds of Kimbolton Castle.

In the evening it was another get together under the gazebo.

On Sunday the weather was not being very kind so the Gazebo again came in handy.  After the showers had passed the campers were introduced to the game of Molkky by Simon Perkins, his wife Tracey and daughter Sophia.

The winners were Reg Jones and also the 2026 Festival, as the small fee paid to partake in the game was donated to our cause.

After an impromptu American lunch everyone departed back to their respective corners of the Province.

The third outing for the group is taking place over the weekend of Friday 1 to Sunday 3 September at Maulden Vale Business Park and anyone interested in joining the weekend should contact Martin Wilson
