Russell Royal Arch Experience the Cambridge Workings!
On Friday 19 January 11 Companions from Bedfordshire made a trip into the neighbouring Province of Cambridgeshire to attend Fidelity Chapter No 441.
The idea was that of Jonathan Brown of Russell Chapter whose father, Ian, was a member of Granta Lodge No 6179 and Fidelity Chapter No 441. Fellow Russell Chapter member, Martin Wilson arranged the necessary permissions and the date was set.
The Members of Fidelity Chapter were really pleased to receive the Bedfordshire delegation and there were a number of surprise guests to greet them, in the persons of Rodney Wolverson, Past Grand Superintendent of Cambridgeshire, Mark Shields, Deputy Grand Superintendent, Edmund Brooks, Second Provincial Grand Principal and Michael Hinton, Third Provincial Grand Principal.
A really good evening was had by all which included a double exaltation and fantastic festive board. The ritual was most interesting as the visitors hadn’t seen anything like it previously.
It is hoped that a return visit to Russell Chapter can be organised this coming autumn.
The Three principals of the Chapter are pictured together with two members of the Cambridgeshire Executive and all the visitors.
