Phil’s Family Fun Day Success
During the early part of this year, many of you will have met with Phil Grubb, a member of Shoreditch College Lodge, in London, as he visited the Bedfordshire Centres promoting the Caddington Family Fun Day & selling raffle tickets to win a signed Luton Town Football shirt.
Despite the weather, the 28th April was a great success. Luton Goalkeeper, James Shea came along and spent the afternoon engaging with everyone while watching the Children’s football match, going in goal for their penalty shootout and getting soaking wet in the process.
Steve Thrale of Roger de Somery Lodge won the shirt and is pictured with it being presented by James, after he had dried off!
Phil’s sterling effort really paid off, raising £3400 in total for the Air Ambulance Services and in appreciation of the generosity of Bedfordshire Masons, £1000 of that will be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, on behalf of Bedfordshire Freemasons.
Further good news is that Phil will be joining a Bedfordshire Lodge in the Autumn.
Nice One Phil!
