Elstow Salute to St. George!
St. George, the Patron Saint of England, the dragon slayer – embodied warrior against oppression was celebrated in style at the Ampthill Masonic Centre on Sunday where Elstow lodge hosted an afternoon in his honour for Masons and non Masons alike with a fabulously English roast beef feast accompanied by plenty of good cheer and songs from a bygone era lifting everyone’s spirits and bringing them together with plenty of smiles!
There was also education on offer from WBro Paul Smith giving an insight into the history of St George which was very well received and insightful, along with poetry from Bro Steve West and a Churchill-esque experience by the exquisite compère WBro Terry Thurley – all of whom put a great deal of work into making the day a great success.
£480 was raised for the MCF on the afternoon to help the 2026 Festival.
