Elstow Lodge Focus on Mental Health Matters
Last week Elstow Lodge members attended the screening of “Chasing Adonis” a mental health awareness film that the Lodge helped fund.
In the post covid period Michael David enjoyed an extended period as Master of the Lodge during which he focused the membership on generating and donating funds to mental health matters.
During his tenure, as well as raising £1000 for “Mind”, the Lodge helped fund the production of “Chasing Adonis” which focuses on body dysmorphia, a very damaging mental health condition which troubles many young men.
The main character is played by Micky, Michael’s son, who also wrote the script. Following a very successful launch at the Whirled Cinema in South London, the film will now be entered in global film festivals before general release for use in body dysmorphia and mental health awareness programs, at which time it is hoped to hold a Bedfordshire screening.
Star of the film, Micky, is pictured along with Elstow Members, his Mum & also his partner.
