Dear Brethren,

It is with sadness that I inform you of the sudden passing to the Grand Lodge above Worshipful Brother Ian Cecil Mann PProvGSuptWks on 16th of July 2026 (93).

Ian was initiated on the 5th of April 1977 in Gilbert Inglefield Lodge L8009 he was installed as Master 1990 – 1991 and held the office of Almoner from 1992 – 2004, he resigned in 2019 and in February 2020 was elected an Honorary member.

Ian’s first Provincial appointment came in 1996 as PProvGStB and followed by promotions in 2002 to  PProvSGD, and in 2014 to PProvGSuptWks . Ian was a member of Bedfordshire Freemasonry for 49 years.

After a short illness  Ian passed away peacefully. His passing was reported by his son.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time.
