Another Great Lecture at Elstow
Continuing in their tradition of hosting interesting and engaging lectures, Elstow members and their guests had a real treat this week when Provincial Grand Orator, Ian Church, gave a fascinating talk on the life and times of Rudyard Kipling.
There is much to learn about this famous Brother and W.Bro Church did not disappoint, sharing his broad knowledge of Kiplings life and travels, literary works, charitable activities as well as his short but significant Masonic career.
Elstow members were able to contribute to the proceedings by delivering six of Kiplings poems, some well known and others no so, but all very ponyoint.
This was all amply illustrated by the “Kiplinalia” and other artefacts from Ians extensive collection, displayed for everyone to examine and enjoy.
