W Bro William ‘Dennis’ Allen
It is with great sadness that I must report to you the Passing to the Grand Lodge Above of Worshipful Brother and Companion William Dennis Allen, born 5th March 1931 (91 years).
W. Bro Dennis had been in a care home for some time and passed away peacefully on Sunday 6th November 2022.
He was initiated into Freemasonry on 20th January 1962 and dedicated 60 years to the craft and 41 years in the Holy Royal Arch.
Brother William (always known as Dennis) was initiated into the Ibadan Lodge L5316 in Nigeria, passed, and raised.
Joined John Bunyan Lodge L5973 in 1965, and an elected Honorary member in 2021.
Exalted into Sir William Harpur Chapter C2343 in 1981.

Dennis was a superb ritualist always willing to help, his presentation of a grand lodge certificate was particularly admired. He was completely dedicated to his roles as Master, Charity Steward, Treasurer, Secretary, a truly unique character who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
I will be sending a card of condolence on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master and Brethren of the Province to his wife and family.
