Veterans & Blue Light Breakfast Morning – A Fantastic First Event!
The Friends of Bedfordshire Masons, together with the Ampthill Wingfield Club, were delighted to host our very first Veterans and Blue Light Breakfast Morning on Saturday 14th March.
After months of planning, our hardworking team welcomed 45 attendees—and served just as many breakfasts!
So, what is a VBL Breakfast Morning all about?
This isn’t a fundraising event. This is run on a not-for-profit basis, with a simple aim: to create a welcoming monthly space for community, fellowship, and good conversation over a cup of tea and a hearty breakfast.
The mornings are open to:
-
Veterans, reservists, and serving military
-
Police, Fire, and Ambulance services
-
Family members
-
Freemasons… and importantly, guests
By expanding to Friends of Bedfordshire Freemasons, we’re reaching beyond our own membership—connecting with the wider community and offering a safe, friendly environment where people can reconnect and support one another.
We were delighted to welcome visitors from across the area, including:
The Widows Sons Motorcycle Lodge
Ampthill Town Council representatives
Members of various emergency services
A special thank you to Assistant Provincial Grand Master Stephen Attwood, who expressed his sincere appreciation to the Wingfield Club team for their outstanding support.
